SIPTU is holding a meeting to discuss the community sector in Limerick today.

The Union has said that community workers have been dealt a "disproportionate blow" in Government cuts over the last three years.

More than 2,000 people are employed in the community sector in Limerick city and county.

SIPTU's Community Sector Representative David Connolly said today's meeting is to plan for the future of the sector.
