Leitrim teenager Meadhbh McGivern is said to be in a "relatively stable" condition after undergoing marathon liver transplant surgery in the UK.

The 14-year-old made headlines in July after a botched effort to transport her to London in time for a life-saving operation.

Her father Joe has said the family is still on tenderhooks, as Meadhbh is yet to wake up after yesterday's surgery which lasted over 13 hours:
