Police in the North have arrested three men as part of an investigation into an explosion in Derry this morning.

Police in the North have arrested three men as part of an investigation into an explosion in Derry this morning.

A device exploded outside a house in the early hours.

The house at Ervey Road in Claudy was unoccupied at the time. The front door was damaged.

Three men, two 36-year-olds and one 28-year-old, are being detained for questioning.

Meanwhile there is another alert in the Learmount Road area.

It is understood security officers' homes are at the centre of the attacks.

Three men have been arrested.
