Transport Minister Leo Varadkar has insisted that all options must be considered for the future of Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports.

Minister Varadkar said last night that the status quo, under which the three airports are owned and operated by the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA), was "not tenable".

His comments come following news that Shannon Airport Authority have submitted a proposal to the Department of Transport suggesting a separation from the DAA.
