Varadkar announces extra winter funding for councils

Transport Minister Leo Varadkar has announced extra funding for local authorities to prepare for adverse winter conditions.

An extra €1.25m is being allocated through the Winter Maintenance Grant this year, meaning €11.25m will be available in total.
