Socialist MEP alleges Garda brutality at Shell to Sea protest

Socialist Dublin MEP Paul Murphy has lodged a complaint with the Garda Ombudsman alleging Garda brutality at a Shell to Sea protest in Mayo last Thursday.

He claims peaceful protestors were deliberately hurt by members of the Gardaí "in an aggressive and excessive use of force".
