A 24-year-old female driver has died in a road accident at Garranacool, Ballingarry, Thurles, Co Tipperary this morning.

A 24-year-old female driver has been killed in a road accident at Garranacool, Ballingarry, Thurles, Co Tipperary this morning.

The woman died after her car left the road and overturned in a single-vehicle accident.

Investigating gardaí in Thurles believe the incident occurred sometime between midnight and 7am this morning.

The road is currently closed pending the completion of an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators. Local diversions are in place.
