Aer Lingus cancel New York flights
All Aer Lingus flights scheduled to operate to and from New York today have been cancelled because of Hurricane Irene.
Delta and Continental flights have also been grounded until the storm passes.
The suspension affects John F Kennedy International and Newark Liberty International Airport in New York.
Passengers are advised to contact their airline for further information.
Aer Lingus said that its customers will be able to rebook their flights for a future date free of charge.
