'No meaningful disclosure' in dumped HSE records

The HSE has stated today that paperwork from Sligo General hospital found dumped in a bog in Co Galway contained "no meaningful disclosure" of patient information.

The shredded documentation was discovered by litter wardens yesterday.

It is the third case of HSE documents being found in the past few weeks, with similar discoveries in counties Mayo and Roscommon.

The HSE West says an internal investigation is ongoing, while the Data Protection Commissioner has closed his inquiry into the matter.
