Queensland rose crowned the 2011 Rose of Tralee

A 27 year old marketing student from Australia has been crowned the 2011 Rose of Tralee.

Tara Talbot was representing Queensland in the contest.

Tara's father hails from Dublin, while her mother comes from the Philippines.

She was already the bookies favourite before the annual contest in Kerry.
