Two motor cruisers towed to safety on Lough Derg
Two motor cruisers have been towed to safety after they ran aground in separate incidents on Lough Derg earlier.
The Lough Derg RNLI Lifeboat helped a 40 foot cruiser off the rocks near the mouth of the river in Terryglass Bay, at about eleven o'clock this morning.
The boat was not holed, and the four crew were uninjured.
Elsewhere, a 33 foot cruiser was towed to safety at Williamstown Harbour at six o'clock this evening after she ran aground off Ryan's Point on Lough Derg.
