Cyclist seriously hurt in Dublin collision

A cyclist has suffered serious head injuries in a collision involving three cars in Donnybrook, in Dublin.

Gardaí are at the scene of the collision, which took place at 1pm.

The cyclist has been taken to St Vincent's Hospital with serious head injuries.

Merrion Road is now closed in both directions. Diversions are in place using Aylesbury Road and Nutley Lane. Motorists are asked to avoid the area as the Merrion Road will remain closed for a number of hours.
