Pfizer wins case against generic 'Viagra' pill-maker
An American company has been prevented from launching a generic version of Pfizer's erectile dysfunction pill Viagra until October 2019.
The pharmaceutical giant has confirmed that it won a patent infringement case against the US unit of Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries.
Pfizer, which has operations based in Cork, Dublin, Kildare, Limerick and Sligo, has confirmed that litigation on the same patent is pending against several other companies.
However, no trials are scheduled in those cases.
