Teenage transplant transport delay: Father hopes lessons have been learned
The father of a teenage girl who missed her chance to get a liver transplant because of a delay in transporting her to a hospital in London says he hopes lessons can be learned from his daughter's misfortune.
Fourteen-year-old Meadhbh McGivern from Ballinamore in Co Leitrim has been waiting for a transplant for almost a year, making her the longest person ever to be on the pediatric liver transplant waiting list.
