A passenger aircraft had to make an unscheduled landing last night in Dublin after the pilot noticed a crack in the windscreen.

The Air Southwest flight - en route from Newquay in England to Glasgow in Scotland - had 24 passengers and three crew members on board.

It was diverted to Dublin after the fault was discovered in one of the multiple layers of the windscreen panels.
