Regulators to seek solutions for indebted Home Payments customers
The National Consumer Association is to set up a group of regulators who will work to identify solutions for Home Payments customers who still owe mortgage and utility bills.
Thousands of people are thought to be affected by the closure of the Dublin-based company.
Among those who have already come on board is the Commission for Energy Regulation, the Irish Banking Federation, COMREG and the Central Bank.
The National Consumer Agency has urged all customers of Home Payments to cancel direct debits immediately and has also called on the Government to look at regulating the industry.
