Trial date set for girl accused of attacking 8-year-old
Evidence will be given via video-link in the trial of a teenage girl accused of attacking an eight-year-old boy.
The girl (aged 15) has pleaded not guilty at the Children's Court to assaulting the boy, contrary to Section Two of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Persons Act, in Crumlin, in south Dublin, on a date last November.
Today Judge Elizabeth MacGrath ordered that the hearing will take place on a date in September.
The trial will be held at the Criminal Courts of Justice complex because the complainant is to give his evidence via video-link.
