More than half of respondents to a BreakingNews.ie online poll have said that they will refuse to pay the proposed €100 household charge next year.

Almost a third of the 2,345 participants (781 votes, or 33.3%) responded: “I won't pay it. It is an unfair charge to pay off the banks' debts.”
