Superquinn staff: Musgrave bid is best option
Staff at Superquinn have warned that the retail chain will not survive if it gets bogged down in lengthy legal arguments over its receivership.
Yesterday, directors of the company took a case to the High Court claiming that receivers KPMG had not been properly appointed.
Unions representing Superquinn staff have appealed for the proposed sale to the Musgrave group to go through immediately.
Gerry Light, Assistant General Secretary of Mandate, has said the Musgrave bid is the best option for saving 2,800 jobs at Superquinn.
