Last day of work before TDs' seven-week summer holiday
Today is the last day of parliamentary work for TDs, who begin a seven-week holiday from today.
They will return to a reformed Dáil on September 14, with TDs getting a new system to raise topical issues with Government.
The Tánaiste will also face 'Leaders Questions' from the Opposition on a Thursday morning.
Earlier, the coalition refused a recall of the Dáil for next week to discuss the fallout of today's EU summit in Brussels.
Instead, a report on the summit will be given to the Finance Committee, but Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore refused to say if the Taoiseach will deliver it.
"I think it's really a matter for the Committee itself, I don't know who the Committee has invited," he said.
