A man has been seriously injured in a kite surfing incident in Co Cork.
The Coastguard helicopter airlifted the man to safety from Courtmacsherry Bay at around 6pm this evening.
He is now being treated for serious head injuries at Cork University Hospital.
It was the third call emergency services responded to in the area today.
Earlier, an RNLI lifeboat collected two windsurfers blown out to sea by heavy winds in Courtmacsherry Bay.
Two kayakers were also picked up by the same lifeboat, after they were reported missing on a journey from the Old Head of Kinsale to Sandycove Island.
