Govt to provide €7m in aid to Irish communities in Britain
The Government is providing funding to 116 Irish community organisations in the UK.
The Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs Eamon Gilmore announced details of the €7m grant scheme as part of the Emigrant Support Programme.
Mr Gilmore was in London today to address Irish community groups there.
More than €65m has been allocated to support these groups under the Emigrant Support Programme since 2004.
