Bridge strike disrupts Cork traffic, rail services

Cork commuter train services have been disrupted today after a truck struck a railway bridge on the city's Lower Glanmire Rd.

Services between Cobh and Midleton to and from Cork are suspended until further notice, Irish Rail said.

Bus transfers are in operation on the route, with Irish Rail advising travellers to check its website for further information.

The incident was also causing traffic disruption in the city with the Lower Glanmire Rd closed in both directions.
