Ten men have been arrested in Dublin in connection with dissident republican activity.

Ten suspected dissident republicans have been arrested over an attempted extortion racket.

The gang, all aged between the mid-20s and 40s, were detained in the Balbriggan area of north county Dublin at about 10pm last night.
