Dissident suspect to appear in court

A man is to appear before the Special Criminal Court this morning charged in connection with alleged dissident republican activity.

As part of an ongoing investigation gardaí from the Special Detective Unit carried out a search in west Dublin on Wednesday.

A man in his 30s was arrested in the Finglas area and brought to Blackrock Garda Station where he was questioned under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.
