Court refuses to give Cosgrave access to documents
Former Fine Gael politician Liam Cosgrave has today been refused access to documents as part of his High Court bid to stop his trial for alleged corruption.
The ex-TD and Senator is challenging his prosecution on five charges of receiving corrupt payments in 1992 and 1997 in relation to land rezoning in Carrickmines.
Businessman Jim Kennedy, who is accused of making corrupt payments to politicians, has been granted access to certain correspondence as part of his bid to halt his criminal trial.
