It took an armed man just 18 seconds to steal money from a post office in Donegal this morning, according to a Garda spokesman.

It took an armed man just 18 seconds to steal money from a post office in Donegal this morning, according to a Garda spokesman.

The masked man went into the branch in St Johnston with a handgun at around 9.15am and made off with a small amount of cash.

He fled in a blue car being driven by another man.

No shots were fired and nobody was hurt.
