Two for court in connection with firearms seizure

Two men are due to appear before the Special Criminal Court this evening in connection with the discovery of firearms in Dublin.

Four men in their 20s and 40s were arrestedin the south inner city on Thursday by gardaí investigating dissident republican activity.

An assortment of ammunition and three firearms were seized in the search of a house.

Two of the men were released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

The other two men will appear before the Special Criminal Court at 6pm.
