Two arrested as part of dissidents probe

Two men have been arrested in Dublin in connection with dissident republican activity.

Detectives seized three guns and a quantity of ammunition following the search of a house as part of a planned operation in the south inner city this evening.

The two men - aged in their 40s and 20s - were arrested and are being held under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act at Shankill and Kevin Street Garda Stations.

Gardaí said the investigation is ongoing.
