Sinn Féin has proposed a Dáil motion calling for a reversal of proposed cuts to Roscommon hospital.

Fine Gael representatives Denis Naughten and Frank Feighan are said to be undecided about how they will vote, as protestors gather outside the Dáil to demonstrate at the cutbacks.

Mr Flanagan challenged the pair to keep their pre-election promises to save A&E services at Roscommon.

"The least these guys can do is to follow up on their promise and resign," said Mr Flanagan.

More than 1,000 people are expected to attend this evening's demonstration.
