Clonmel school appeal adjourned

Judgement in the case of an appeal by a Clonmel school to a ruling made by the Equality Tribunal on their admissions policy has been adjourned until the end of the month.

Judgement in the case of an appeal by a Clonmel school to a ruling made by the Equality Tribunal on their admissions policy has been adjourned until the end of the month.

The case won at the Equality Tribunal had been taken by the Law Centre of the Irish Traveller Movement, against the Christian Brothers High School in Clonmel.

The Equality Tribunal found that the school's admission policy indirectly discriminates against Travellers.

Following the presentation of legal arguments at Clonmel Circuit Court today judgement was postponed until Monday July 26..
