Half of families underestimate medical expenses: survey

Half of Irish households grossly underestimate how much they will fork out on medical expenses, according to a new survey.

The study by Amárach Research shows families with young children are especially bad when it comes to miscalculating - some see a 45% gap between their "expected" and "actual" costs.
