Government departments 'issued with more cost-saving guidelines'

Senior civil servants in Government departments have reportedly been given further direction on how to save money.

The Secretary General at the Department of Public Expenditure Robert Watt has written to top officials saying they could consider moves like selling property and abolishing agencies.
