Man attacked by Belfast gang

A man has been assaulted by a gang in west Belfast, it has emerged.

A group of up to ten men armed with bricks, bats and bottles attacked houses at Hawthorn Street at around 3am on Sunday, breaking windows and doors.

They entered two houses and assaulted one of the occupants.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
