Gardaí investigating a fatal two-car collision in Co Limerick yesterday have named the man killed in the incident.

Gardaí investigating a fatal two-car collision in Co Limerick yesterday have named the man killed in the incident.

He was 54-year old Patrick Mahu, from Dooradoyle.

The accident happened on the N21 at Monearla near Adare at around 6.10pm yesterday evening.

Mr Mahu - the driver of one of the cars - was pronounced dead at the scene.

A female passenger in that car and the driver of the second were taken to the Regional Hospital in Limerick, with minor injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them.
