European Council head urges deal over bailout rate
The President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy has urged Governments blocking Ireland's interest rate cut on the bailout to "reach a deal".
Mr Van Rompuy also did not rule out Ireland's plan to burn senior bondholders at Anglo.
But speaking after a meeting with the Taoiseach Enda Kenny in Dublin today, he warned that it could only be done with Europe's permission.
Mr Van Rompuy spent the day in Ireland and held a one-hour meeting with the Taoiseach at Government Buildings.
