Gardaí identify man found dead in Cork river

A man found dead in the River Blackwater in Co. Cork yesterday afternoon has been identified.

Gardaí in Fermoy would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the man in the Barnane Walk area of the town, between 9am and 1.30pm yesterday.

The man is described as being approximately 5 feet 10 inches in height, of slim build, with black hair going grey.

He was wearing a dark blue denim hoodie jacket with gold buttons and dark blue jeans at the time.
