Former Minister Mary O'Rourke has said the Lenihan family is in "a very bad state" at the death of her nephew Brian, who died overnight.

Former Minister Mary O'Rourke has said the Lenihan family is in "a very bad state" at the death of her nephew Brian, who died overnight.

"We're in a very bad state as you can imagine over it all.

"We're here as a family, gathered with friends - thinking, talking and crying together. We knew he was on the last lap, but I had hoped the last lap could last a few months…but it was not to be," she told Shannonside Radio.
