Govt will do its best to avoid income tax hike: Coveney

Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney has said the Government will "try" to avoid income tax increases, but again did not rule out a hike.

The Programme for Government specifically commits to not increasing income taxes, but yesterday, Finance Minister Michael Noonan insisted he could not rule it out.
