RTE: Top earners' salaries will fall by 30%

The Director General of RTE has issued an update on plans to cut the salaries of its top-earning broadcasters.

The Director General of RTE Noel Curran has said that by 2013, the station's highest-earning broadcasters will see their wages cut by more than 30% from the peak level in 2008.

The cuts are taking place as part of a plan announced two years ago.
