Gardaí investigate fatal shooting in Clondalkin
A murder investigation is underway in West Dublin after a man was shot dead in Clondalkin.
Liam Kenny, aged 53, was shot at the front door of his house on Shancastle Avenue just after 4am this morning.
Neighbours are gathered today at the scene of Dublin's latest shooting where a number of men opened fire on the house.
The victim was seriously injured in the hallway and was rushed to Blanchardstown hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A number of family members were in the house at the time of the incident, but no one else was injured.
The gunmen fled the scene and shortly afterwards a car was found burnt out in nearby Chapelizod.
It is the second gun-related killing in the area since 20-year-old Dean Johnson was gunned down nearby on May 25.
