Justice Minister to propose reduction in judges' pay

The Justice Minister Alan Shatter is to bring suggestions to cabinet in the next two weeks on a referendum dealing with judges' pay.

Mr Shatter said last night that he hoped a public vote on reducing the salaries of the judiciary would happen sooner rather than later.
