EU agriculture ministers hold emergency E-coli talks
EU agriculture ministers are to hold emergency talks in Luxembourg today on the E-coli outbreak that has left 22 people dead.
Ministers are expected to discuss the impact the outbreak is having on vegetable producers.
They are also expected to try to agree financial aid for farmers who are unable to sell their produce as a result of the outbreak.
Ministers will also review the EU's food safety alert system to ensure that warnings have "scientific basis and proof" before becoming public.
Tests are continuing to find the source of the outbreak.
