Quinn 'committed' to improving Ireland's maths and reading standards

The Education Minister Ruairí Quinn has said he is "absolutely committed" to getting Ireland's reading and Maths standards back into the top ten in world rankings.

Concern has been expressed after Ireland's ratings for Maths and English, by the OECD, plummeted over the past decade.
