Exchequer reports €700m rise in taxes collected this year

There is further evidence of an improvement in the public finances with new Exchequer figures showing the Government has collected nearly €700m extra in taxes this year.

The Department of Finance has said it is not concerned about a shortfall in corporation taxes last month.
