No further turf will be cut on any of the 31 designated EU habitat sites on the bogs of Ireland from 2pm today.

No further turf will be cut on any of the 31 designated EU habitat sites on the bogs of Ireland from 2pm today.

The Irish Peatland Council reached an agreement with turfcutters and contractors on the matter last night.
