Mayo convention to hear ideas on job creation

Hundreds of business people, entrepreneurs and civil servants are gathering in Westport in Co Mayo today to explore ways to bring more job creation to the county.

The 11th Annual Mayo World Convention is taking place, with both the Taoiseach Enda Kenny and the President mary McAleese due to address the event.

This year's theme will focus on how to create more employment in Ireland in the natural energy sectors, such as wind and wave energy.
