Two Wicklow men have gone on trial for the murder of a 32-year-old French national who was shot through the window of his duplex apartment in Bray.

Declan Sheridan of Sugarloaf View, Sea Road, Kilcoole; and James O’Connor of Kilbridge Grove in Bray have pleaded not guilty to murdering Charles Sinapayen on June 1, 2009 at Richmond Hill in Fassaroe.

The jury's heard the victim's girlfriend did not wake up as two shots were fired through the window of the couple's home in the early hours of the morning.

The prosecution said there was no apparent motive for the shooting.
