Davison-Ryanair trial reaches closing stages
Former Miss World Rosanna Davison's libel action against Ryanair has reached its closing stages.
The 27-year-old former Miss World is suing the airline over an online press release calling her comments on the lack of Irish girls in the 2009 charity glamour calender elitist, narrowminded and bordering on racism.
The jury is expected to retire tomorrow afternoon after first hearing closing speeches by counsel for Ms Davison and Ryanair.
Rosanna Davison said she was shocked and angered by what she claimed was an attack on her reputation.
Ryanair's Head of Communications Stephen McNamara denied the press release implied she was racist and said the model was silly to make negative comments about a charity event.
