Teenager killed in Tipperary crash

A 19-year-old man has been killed in a road collision in Co Tipperary.

The incident involving a lorry and a car occurred at Glasdrum near Cappawhite shortly after midnight.

The driver died at the scene. A female passenger was taken to Clonmel Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

The road remains closed and witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Tipperary Town gardaí on 062 80 670.
